![]() So, if you're lining up your shot, and you see where you want the ball to land, by first seeing where the min is and then stretching out to max, you can see - to a degree - where your desired landing spot falls in the clubs range from min to max. And just know that your ring adjustment varies depending on where the landing is in relation to min/mid/max of your club.īecause of this change in ring size, the amount of adjustment required for a given wind changes accordingly. There are other technical aspects that goes into this, but let's keep it simple. When the target is very close, the rings are minuscule, when stretched out, they get progressively larger. The most obvious way to see this in action is with clubs that don't have a minimum (wedges, sand and rough irons). It matters because the ring size changes as you move from one range (ie min) to another (mid, max, and everything in between) for every club. So, if you're stretching your target, and it switched from long iron to wood club, at the point where it switched is the minimum of the wood club, and the point just before it switched is the maximum of the long iron. The point where one club takes over from the other club when pushing out your target is that clubs minimum.
